Drift is a participatory installation which provides the user an experience of dissociative roaming between real and simulated stimuli through binaural sound, touch, motion, and audience. This project began as an investigation of sound through the personal narratives told by persons with visual impairment after a life of sight. It has now expanded into an exploration of perceptual experience as modulated by technology.
Drift was made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts.
